Poor first half for Poland against Germany
The end of the European Korfball Championship is nearing. Three more days will Dordrecht be hosting the bet players of Europe. In the previous games, Poland was unable to win. Today, they face Germany. They were third in their group with six points. For Poland, this tournament is also a preparation for the World Games, held next year in Poland. It would be nice for Poland to finish this tournament on a high. Question is whether this will start against a stronger German squad.

In the first half, Germany is clearly the better team. No real surprise, Poland knew this would be a tough game again. They will mainly focus on their play, instead of the result. Poland is working hard, but Germany is simply better. The Germans are merciless and they make good use of the mistakes of Poland. This leads to a 13-3 half time score. Offensively, Poland is not able to compensate for their poor defending as Germany’s defense it quite tight.
In the second half, Poland comes out strong. They start with four goals in a row and the team looks determined not to be outplayed by neighbors Germany. Unfortunately, they can not keep this up in the final quarter and the game ends with a final score of 23-11. Germany appears to be more fit. If Poland can build on their play of the third quarter though, they could be able to get a good result tomorrow and they can build to being competitive for the World Games next year.
